[Declined] Malicerose - Havoc Demon Hunter

Character name:

Malicerose (Havoc DH - main) - Johnceną (Assa/Sub Rogue - supposed to be a meme alt that happens to be 2 ilvls higher than the main due to the !brilliant! inclusion of titanforging in the game and some luck with BiS leggos).

Battletag:

TheArchitec7#2552

Introduction - Let us get to know you! (Please include Gender, Age and Country)

Yeah this is where I should talk about my qualities, try to point out how much I'm gonna benefit the guild with my pro skills, how fun and jolly I am, easy going etc.. However and sadly that is not what I'm gonna do, I'm just like any of you guys, have my ups and downs, can get frustrated/fail and be chill/succeed.. Nothing really out of the ordinary, more like a realistic (maybe slightly optimistic) 30 year old Lebanese Male who's been in and out of the game since early TBC.. I started actual raiding in Legion after being away for Cata, MoP and most of WoD, Enjoyed high end content and recently noticed that I fancy gathering those (CE) achievements prior to other players as some kind of challenge.. I really enjoy raiding, and find refuge in it after a long day at work as it helps get my mind off things.

Stats - Please explain your stats priority and explain why you are using these.

Stat priority for Havoc DH is Crit-Mastery

Crit for two reasons: Critical Chaos trait from artifact, which increases critical damage of your highest dps ability/spender by up to 42% with 7 traits. Second and more importantly Chaos strike itself refunds half the resource cost (fury) when it crits.

Mastery: Increases your Chaos damage by x%, chaos damage being the highest damage from any school of magic an enemy can take for example the adds on hc Argus have certain debuffs such as holy, nature, arcane etc.. So if you hit the holy debuff add your chaos damage will translate into the damage you'd deal if you were striking as holy (that's why you notice DHs going up the meters at that point). Anyway back to the main point, mastery since the three most used abilities for dps are Chaos Strike, Eye Beam and Fury of the Illidary (artifact ability) and they all benefit largely from mastery.

Honorable mention: Haste after getting both BiS trinkets for havoc (Pantheon and Seeping scourgewing - both have no internal cd and are procced by melee abilities) that said, at some point haste can even slightly out-value mastery on the long run.

Talents - Please explain your talent choices for a single target fight or an add controlled fight. And why you choose these talents.

For DH T21 is based on eye beam which in its core is an aoe ability, but blizzard decided to make it single target with the set bonuses, so by default your AoE spec is the same as your ST spec for this tier. Blind fury, Demonic appetite, Chaos Cleave, Netherwalk (Rather have an extra immunity for soaking and tight situations), Nemesis, Demon reborn, Demonic. Why? Well it's not like a player has much of a choice here, I did however try to be a smartass and see different talent variations myself with different leggies at the start of the patch, sadly there is an optimal spec and nothing can out-dps it. The gear does vary slightly however, from shoulders to helm due to their effects, and the non-pantheon trinket being Gorshalash's Legacy instead of Seeping Scrougewing, but that's mostly it.

Worth noting that some fights require high burst damage and T20 was and still is king for that ie: Kingaroth on mythic where you need a reliable burst, and that's where you just switch back and make it a smooth sail. Even for Argus on mythic T20 could have a better dps output due to the constant movement from Cone in p1 and Edge of obliteration in p2, soulburst or even having Rage and need to make space for others, the nature of T21 is an 8 sec burst post-channeling until enough souls are gathered for the next which could take some time, so if one gets screwed with any of these abilities previously mentioned once or twice (which will happen) it's pretty much gg dps output or fail to mechanics in case of dps-whoring. (And yes dbm and bigwigs would tell you when the abilities are due but you still have to wait for up to 7s for them to occur).

Resources - Please tell us sources you follow to keep up to date with your class:

Icy Veins and mmo-champion are pretty decent sources for these matters, class discord as well (tho it's turning into a social network more and more each day, haven't been there for some time now), maybe good youtubers/twitch streamers that tried the alfas and betas, even some sneak peeks on warcraft-logs and raider.io characters tho are topping the logs can help, but above all it's the understanding of the class itself as a player and that goes for anyone on any class, otherwise it's impossible to min-max the results and performance without knowing the small tips and tricks of each class you play. Oh and Simcraft or Raidbots but these are just to value your gear and stat weights but not for the core of the class itself.

Raiding history:

Well as previously mentioned I started mythic raiding on Legion, so it goes by:
EN (CE)
ToV (CE)
NH (CE)
ToS (CE)
AtBC (600+ wipes on Argus with a dozen of them Below 10% and yes there are a couple of 2% wipes, now can you PLEASE stop stressing me over this?!) *Bursts into tears* - Ok that was a joke I'm a completely normal human, I drink H2O and do other human activities *Smiles big with a severe eye twitch*

Guild history and reason for leaving them:

The Royal Army (Joined with the lady, but she experienced some slight annoyances with one of the officers due to personal reasons, so we decided to leave in order to raid together with a bit less drama involved). Basically on bad terms so I guess this will look a bit gloomy on my raiding applications but I'd rather be honest about this stuff than hiding them to look pretty.

OSG (Joined them for quite some time after deciding to raid w/o my S.O after she took a break from the game, did great progress in ToS and AtBT until the GM had to take some time off a couple of weeks ago, and that's where things started going downhill with officers being all over the place, low attendances, slight chaos in members raiding performances and few good people leaving; all that just on the verge of the Argus kill, regardless I might enjoy joking around every now and then but I take my raiding a bit too serious and that became a huge inconvenience with many new people joining, and old ones leaving, things basically started falling apart and my interest in the game pretty much disappeared so after calling the GM (who happens to be a friend as well) he still needed a couple of months to get back if at all, my decision was to either quit or find something new and here I am :)

Expectations - What do you expect from us and what can we expect from you:

Well both parts of the question have pretty much the same answer, and these go mutually: Respect, Good time, Serious raiding, Chill atmosphere when out of raid, Criticism and very preferably constructive (yes if I see something wrong I will also point it out to an officer), close to equal performance by all members (no one should go see a chiropractor every other month due to excessive carry, we should all do our parts, else that defeats the teamwork purpose).

Freetext - Anything else you wish to add? Your last chance to impress us!

Yeah sure, enjoy these after the long wall of text you had to go through:

Gaming: Diamond Overwatch Moira/Genji/Hog main for the last 2 seasons, so that's top 10% of the population, not the best but enough to brag about considering the low play time these seasons.

IRL: Just finished setting up my architectural office recently, hoping it pays off well.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read the application, hoping to raid with you guys soon, and if not, then best of luck to you all in BfA.

Regards.
Malicerose.

Hello Malicerose!

Thank you for applying to us here in Endless. Officers have decided to decline your application due to low current experience.

We wish you the best of luck onwards
